Michael Lance Domagas

Mike is currently affiliated as a country representative at AngelHack. Mike is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Computer Science at the De La Salle University. His research interests and specialization include computer science and information technology, digital marketing and social media management, community development and events management, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and space science.

What is your most exciting mentorship experience?

“I had opportunities to guide and share my knowledge to others, bridging the gap between those who have knowledge and those who are interested to learn. I am part of the developer and technology communities here in the Philippines. We engage the developer community by organizing events and activities such as seminars, workshops, hackathons, etc.”

Why did you join SIDHI?

“I joined SIDHI to be part of a team dedicated in empowering STEM in the country, particularly young innovators who wish to gain knowledge through mentorship.”

What piece of advice can you give to an aspiring young Filipino Scientist?

“Even though the path is hard and difficult, there are people who experienced this tough journey willing to help one another.”

What is your hope for the future of Science in the Philippines, and Science as a whole?

“Make STEM as priority in the Philippines.”
